Road from Kabul to Bagram? What's the best way to travel to Bagram Air Base.
Also I will have to stay for a couple of days in Kabul. Any cheap guesthouse in Kabul? Thanks for any advice.

Mustafa sucks. go to l'atmosphere, they rent out rooms sometimes.
if you're going to Baghram for an embed, ask Maj. Becerra at Camp Alpha to let you know when you catch a military ride. there are convoys a few times a day. otherwise, just take a taxi.

Why not just embed in the first place with ISAF for a while in Kabul?

It's your dime.

You can easily do your own stories outside of camp while embedding. Surely you know that?

Thanks for information. It's good that hotel Mustafa has his own website.
I have been ask Maj.Becerra about some military ride but he write me back, that I have to arrange my own transport from Kabul to Bagram AirField.
I'm thinking about embed with Isaf but I have called them about embedding to new Polish unit in April and they told me that I have to arrange this with polish army. And this is not so easy. So which unit they can give me in Kabul?
I'll be embedded to 82nd Airborne and that what I've read then you can't go outside of camp while embedding??
Thank You

i've been recently in afghanistan, at the time you could take taxi to bagram, embed rules depend on which unit you get attached...Mustafa is a hole but it has its charm, L'atmosphere is full of expats and dodgy foreigners, but it is nicer and more expensive than Mustafa.
