A registered charity that is constituted as a private company limited by guarantee, the festival has a group of Members dedicated to the development of photography. Im happy you included CONTACT, even though our festival is the largest in North America, IMHO, we need a stronger contingency of international photographers, which I've been trying to generate. If anyone is internested (photojournalist/artists/conceptualists alike), let me know and I can help you if youre interested for next year. And I'm excited about Mois de la Photo (bi-annual event), this september. There is no end to the photo festivals, they grow as the number of photographers and galleries do-plus in areas where the ecomomy is stable or strong."Fotoseptiembre USA" in San Antonio is one such festival. At first it was to be 4 weeks long, now it is 6 weeks long. Unlike other festivals, this has a heavy Mexican influence - which is healthy. It is also a great place to photograph, not too far from borderville! John Patrick Naughton
