Price says £399. Certainly looks good. Nice wide and fast lens with zoom, shoots RAW, 10Mpxls, black, small. Just hope the noise issue is better than it is on the GR Digital at high ISO.

I'm not getting the "removable electronic viewfinder" feature.

Can anyone explain what this really is? What they describe as the use (great for bright daylight) doesn't help clarify...I don't think it means that you take the viewfinder completely off the camera and use remotely...or is that the case?

Looking at the pics on the Rocoh website: http://www.ricoh.com/r_dc/caplio/gx100/index.html It looks like you slide it on the flash hot-shoe so you can look through a small view finder "like an SLR" rather than using the LCD on the back to frame/compose your pic.

Aaaahhhhh, thank you Adam. That's a nice feature, though a bit odd looking with the height of the viewfiinder off the hot shoe.

If the real camera meets the expectations I will get me one.

thats stupid, why cant they just give it a fixed lens and a nice big rangefinder and call it a day? (if this exists someone pls tell)

i like it, i just hope the noise at high iso it's reduced, i have the GR and don't use it in color above 200, BW 400, it's a petty...

more pixels in a small sensor = high noise... unless, of course, whatever imaging engine they've got in it is super-awesome (not likely). won't hold breath on this one. still nobody really producing compact cameras i'd spent any serious (400 quid is serious) dough on...
