Alec Soth's Niagara exhibited at HOST in London

In conjunction with the group exhibition _New Blood: Magnum Associates_, *HOST Gallery* is delighted to be exhibiting _Niagara_ by *Alec Soth*. The exhibition runs from 14 May - 8 June 2007.

In the follow-up to his critically-acclaimed monograph Sleeping by the Mississippi, Soth turns his eye to another iconic body of water, Niagara Falls. But as with his photographs of the Mississippi, Soth's pictures of Niagara are less about natural wonder than human desire.

"I went to Niagara for the same reason as the honeymooners and suicide jumpers," says Soth, "the relentless thunder of the Falls just calls for big passion."

HOST Gallery is at 1 Honduras Street, London EC1Y 0TH. The gallery is open from 10am-6pm Monday-Friday, and 11am-4pm Saturday.
