And I'm thinking whether I should put the lens/camera in my luggage or take it with me and thus get it X-rayed. Does x-ray affect lens/camera in any way? Again, I would never even though of putting the cam together with my luggage if not the x-ray question. But since its safe, then my camera is going with me all the way! Just as long exposure to high temperatures will, in time, cause failure of electronics.
