A key element of this job is to work with editors and staffs from all sections to develop images that complement and enhance content for both print and online. However, it's an easy trip from there to SF. There are people living in Stockton who commute to SF every day. If you've ever thought about living near SF but without the expense this would be a good move. I worked at San Jose Mercury for 11 years and this area is great fun to work in.
