[Lightstalkers] CS3 and Acrobat on a MacBook Pro http://www.lightstalkers.org/cs3_and_acrobat_on_a_macbook_pro An entire Lightstalkers thread via RSS/XML. en-us CS3 and Acrobat on a MacBook Pro I loaded CS3 on my MacBook Pro; now I cannot open pdf files when I come across those pages online. The Mac tries to open it and then I get the following message: "Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional cannot be launched at this time. You must launch at least one other suite component (such as Adobe Photoshop) before launching Acrobat 8 Professional" Has anyone had this problem and know how to resolve it? Thanks. One way to open the PDFs is to hold "ctrl" button down and then select "download linked file" and then open that pdf in "Preview." I don't have a suggestion for fixing the actual problem, though. I've actually been doing that for the last few days. Just wondered if there was a quick way to remedy the failure of acrobat to open internet pdf's. I just use my old copy of Acrobat 7 now with CS3 with no problems - hope that helps j x Wed, 08 Aug 2007 11:50:11 +0000 http://www.lightstalkers.org/cs3_and_acrobat_on_a_macbook_pro#85303 Re: CS3 and Acrobat on a MacBook Pro Omar, it's a known activation bug, I think you have to call Adobe and they have a solution for you over the phone. Something like tht - check the Adobe forums where they talk about it.
