B-Gan providers, rentals

Has anyone else out there had bad dealings with Outfitter Satellite, Inc. Due to suspicious billing and failure to activate my sim card (while still charging me for it!) I've canceled my services with them. They did not offer me any kind of refund or apology, and in fact were extremely passive aggressive and rude. Any suggestions of where else I could go for satellite services? Thanks, Rita

For our BGAN service we recently switched from Outfitter Satellite to Galaxy 1 (http://www.g1sat.com). So far, so good and much friendlier.

Thanks Scott. "unfriendly" is an understatement! "Unbelievable" is closer to the truth. Glad to know there are options out there. These kinds of monopolies don't do anyone any good and Outfitters made it blatantly clear they did not care whether my services worked or not when I needed them - and had paid for them (about 750 dollars (huge ouch!) by the end of it, without one minute of satellite time delivered. And that does not include the cost of satellite phone calls from my Thurya, none of which resulted in their activating my sim card). If I had time and energy, I'd sue them for the money they virtually stole from me. It's too bad as I had quite good experiences with them several years ago, but I guess business is just too good for them these days. My suspicion is that they are used to working with large media outfits that have such large budgets that no one even bothers to examine their bills. When I addressed billing issues. I was flat out ignored. Their response was: "my apologies I did not meet your needs." "Your request [for cancellation] will be processed." I implored in another e-mail: "Have you even read my e-mails"? To which I received this lovely, curt response: "Yes ma'am." It's come to that. buyer beware! best, Rita
