It work well with Photoshop but get as much RAM as you can afford, 2 gigs if your budget will allow. I would love a PowerMac Dual G5 but the total cost with a big screen and all the other options is out of my price range. The only problem with my iMac is the absents of a Firewire 800 port. When I get home I just plug the mobile drive into the Firewire 400 port and copy them over. I also have a Firewire CF card reader for the odd time I need to copy files from cards to the iMac. Having just looked at the spec on the Apple site it looks like the new 2 Ghz machine has a better spec than my 1.8, the graphics card is a big improvement on the one I have. My friend just got a 20 inch imac and it's about 4 times slower. Get the dual!
