[Lightstalkers] Business and Legal Forms--International Agreements http://www.lightstalkers.org/business-and-legal-forms An entire Lightstalkers thread via RSS/XML. en-us Business and Legal Forms--International Agreements Now that I have a better idea for pricing my images for web usage, I am moving into the paperwork. I found this book, "Business and Legal Forms for Photographers":http://books.google.com/books?id=3DrFU8iQCSAC&dq=business+and+legal+forms+for+photographers&pg=PP1&ots=CpqtLw0qad&sig=lk2aJ5BGvwyWVoKlLLRjYE0xtWg&prev=http://www.google.com/search%3Fhl%3Den%26q%3DBusiness%2Band%2Blegal%2Bforms%2Bfor%2BPhotographers%26btnG%3DGoogle%2BSearch&sa=X&oi=print&ct=title&cad=one-book-with-thumbnail in my personal library. Mine is its 1997 edition, but the basic format has not been changed for the new edition of 2003. The book comes with the tear-out section so that you can copy and a CD-ROM, which I am going to use now to adapt one of the forms for my use. Naturally this is in English, but does anyone have other recommendations for obtaining various business and legal forms for photographers? In English, auf deutsch, or italiano perhaps? Thanks in advance. I think this would be a good resource so when it is appropriate, I'll compile one and put it in the Business Resource section at this site. I have seen access to my website from a French Google Image search engine. I'll put you in my network so that it would be easier to contact you. My immediate need is a model licensing agreement in Italian. The company I am dealing with might speak English, but if I had an Italian version, I may be able to make a stronger point. I can pick out the words here and there. At least it looks a little bit simpler than my English model from the above book. My case is between me in the United States and a business in Italy (I might need the same with UK as well....). The model in English pertains to the American case. Here are the relevant paragraphs. 14. Arbitration. All disputes arising under this Agreement shall be submitted to binding arbitration before ________________________________________ in the following location _____________________________________ and settled in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Judgment upon the arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof. Disputes in which the amount at issue is less than $____________ shall not be subject to this arbitration provision. 15. Miscellany. This Agreement shall be binding upon the parties hereto, their heirs, successors, assigns, and personal representatives. This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties. Its terms can be modified only by an instrument in writing signed by both parties, except that the Client may authorize expenses or revisions orally. A waiver of a breach of any of the provisions of this Agreement shall not be construed as a continuing waiver of other breaches of the same or other provisions hereof. This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of ___________________. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
