Can anyone tell me how easy it is to use ATM cards from US banks (Plus network ideally). I asked about what other countries were on the list and Pakistan and South Africa were the other two. I now have a card with the MasterCard symbol. . . so you might want to check with your bank. I ended up finding two banks total that i could access. I called my bank and after overcoming their shock "You're going where?!" they confirmed that my card does indeed work in Pakistan. There is also a site I found for the Plus network that confirms existance of a number of ATMs using their system in both Islamabad and Karachi. I still think I'll be doing a lot of praying the first time I stick my card in an ATM, but this all helps... It all depends where you'll be in Pakistan, but in big cities, you sould have no pb. Kashmir, Jelhum Valley specifically, did not have any that I saw. In the NWFP there were plenty, once in a while they would be empty but there would be another not too far. Good luck.
