[Lightstalkers] Pocket Wizard http://www.lightstalkers.org/pocket-wizard An entire Lightstalkers thread via RSS/XML. en-us Pocket Wizard Dear Colleagues, I'm about to order Pocket-Wizard MultiMax 32 Channel Transceivers. I will use them with Canon EOS 1D or Mark II. Which cable I need? Is CM-N3-P Pre-Trigger Motor Cord - Canon 3 Pin Connector to Miniphone - 3' OK?? In the hotshoe of the camera you don't need any cables at all for the transmitter. You will need something to connect the receiver to the flash but exactly what will depend on the flash you use and how you connect to it. My PWs came with standard PC socket cables. The only one I had to buy was to remotely trigger a camera using the PWs (very, very expensive). Otherwise you need an 1/8 inch to PC for standard flashes or whatever connector your strobes use. My questions is: should I buy a motor cord or a pre-trigger motor cord? That keeps the camera "awake" constantly as if your finger is on the shutter button so that you don't loose shots by having to wake it.
