Call for photos of small arms

I'm putting together a photo exhibition for a UN small arms conference in July of this year and I'm looking for photos to include.

The purpose of the exhibition - which will be accompanied by a talk and a debate - will be to highlight the need for an internationally agreed standard for the marking of small arms so that they can be traced back to source.

I'm looking for any images that could contribute to this story - ranging from production of small arms (showing the marking process) through to end use in conflict situations. I'm also looking for images of guns being identified in weapons collection programmes etc. Basically any photos that relate to the identification of small arms. I also need a few more generalised photos of the destructive impact of small arms.

All photos used in the exhibition will of course be paid for.

Look forward to hearing from you.
Cheers, Lydia

Cheekily bumping this up to the top of the list.

Have already had some useful responses but could do with some more.

Am also looking for pictures of human suffering caused by small arms - sorry to be so crude but we need to illustrate a point.

How interesting ... somebody who could justifiably ask for picture donations is offering to pay, where as every other bugger with a commercial intent is trying to wriggle out of paying.

Best of luck for the exhibition Lydia!

:) Thanks Wade. I also work in an industry (peace/human rights/development) where people who are trying to start out get utterly taken advantage of. That's why I'm trying to source photos here rather than with the huge agencies.

Have been getting some great submissions. I also need photos of gun destructions either by fire or crushing....
