Fri, 18 Jan 2008 16:05:35 +0000 http://www.lightstalkers.org/cockroaches#109288 Re: Cockroaches i can share a very important tip on cockroaches: i lived in an apartment in center madrid where i had to share my living with them, sometimes i used to get up at night and make them a surprise while they were having party in the kitchen and start to talk to them, didn't wanto to kill them with ddt or put poison, i knew they were there 'cause i was there, we had philosophical and existencial conversations, until one day a wise cockroach gave me a suggestion. spread in the corner some cloves: well it works fantastic! they don't like the smell, it seems, so prefer to stay away, it's like narcotic for them, so you may find a couple like drugged first day, then nothing ... but you have to change the cloves at least once x month... i suggest u to try, the smell is exellent and away from the beasts. biological killing. When I saw cockroaches on my bed one day, I thought I should move out of there. I will try Dana's clove trick to get rid of a few I have seen in this place. Rather than the DDT, I currently use a glue trap at the basement entrance door to prevent them to enter further. However, occasional sighting of the cockroaches seem to indicate their entry through the grocery bags contaminated by their eggs.
