I know lots of people here have been looking for a good way to store photos without lugging around the laptop. I haven't tried this out, but it sounds OK. I used a CompactDrive on my recent Honeymoon, and it worked like a champ. There's no color screen, and you can't review anything you've loaded into the device, but it's really sturdy, runs on 4 AA batteries, and transfers files very very quickly.

I use the Epson P-2000 on a daily basis and love it. No need to purchase additional cards either. Just dump and swap when needed. The display is also fantastic to view images in the field.
