hi all -- anyone using a panasonic toughbook (CF-29), and know how to remove the keypad? letter "p" is sticking, and I don't know how to get under the keypad to see what's up.

I got to play around with the CF-18 and loved it (why the hell aren't Apples designed like that???)
Do you want me to give the Panasonic rep I was chatting to a shout and see what he says? Apparently they shipped about 800 of them out to Iraq and only 3 reported any problems.

yep, please do. would also like to get a hold of an original toughbook power cable -- lost mine, and the generic replacement I found is pretty lame. apple/mac would do well to hook up a ruggedized model. generally, mac's monkeywhup the asses off PCs when it comes to hardware design, but the Toughbooks are totally unique.

I too want a toughbook after watching the demo videos..That's one hell of a tough notebook - a tribute to Panasonic technology and design.

I had a chat with my Panasonic pal and the power adapter you are looking for (CF-AA1653AM) can be picked up in most places for around £/$30-40 pounds or dollars. About the same in the US or UK,just change the monetary symbol.A palof mine picked one up (a generic job) for £60!!!. Big windows I think.

As for the dodgy keyboard?
Obvious question,but are you under warranty? If not then check out the list of authorised Panasonic Toughbook dealers and garages.

Failing that try majorgeeks.com and post the query on their forum. It's a good site and they are bound to know someone who can help, plus they answer quite quickly.
