Quick question about slideshows: Lightstalkers image slideshows used to only show one gallery at a time, and upon reaching the end of the slideshow it would automatically loop back to the beginning, as most would expect. Now that the image slideshow can display multiple galleries, what's your preference? When reaching the end of a gallery, should the slideshow: 1) Automatically go to the *next gallery*? or 2) Go back to the beginning of the *same gallery*? Let me know and we'll incorporate the feedback into our next version. So a viewer can have an overview and manually decide which slideshow to play? Also are there any plans to increase the amount of image you can upload. I have several sets of images I would like to show as slideshows with audio but cannot as there are more than 30 images combined. I suppose one could edit each slideshow down to say 10 images if you had 3 sets but that means the selection is limited and dictated by means of size instead of narrative. Just a thought. Obviously more server space would be needed if say the image quantity was raised from say 30 to 50 images. That's much better. I was routinly dumping a gallery of say 23 images so I could upload a new set. What do you think about my idea of seeing the overview page at the end of a slideshow. Much better for the viewer to have an index page to see rather than an automated next slideshow facility. When you send that as a link it will open up that slideshow. You can also embed the code from any LS gallery into a webpage on your personal website. So if you are showing a client a set of images they may be be inclined to look at other work in your site. Also by having the gallery index appear after the end of a slideshow a potential client can see all your work at a glance. If the slideshow goes from one to the other or back to the same that potential client may not like the work in the next slideshow and move on to someone else's. Let them see all your wares. If I send the link to the slideshow of one of my galleries to a photo editor, he/she would see also the other galleries, and not just what I wanted to show. I think it kind of goes against the idea of having separate galleries. The same way that I would not always show the same portfolio to different prospective clients, I would prefer to be able to choose what to show from my "PSC portfolios". If you want to show all your work, you could always send the link to your overview page, but now you don't have the option to show just one gallery. Many times we feel confidents that a body of work is the one that would "target" a potential client after previously analized what they might be inteested in..and surprise ourselves when client says.." I do like IT, but I want THAT. Slow connection speed here makes the initial playing/loading of the slideshow sluggish. also agree with the idea that separate galleries might be better off viewed separately.
