Leaving Kabul

I just heard that when you plan to leave kabul via Dubai, that you are not allowed to carry electronic items on the plane. Just wanted to find out if anyone has any input on that? And if it is true, what is a photographer to do?

Daniel:

I flew out of Kabul to Dubai one year ago this month and at that time there was no such restriction on KAM air.

You might look up LSer's who've been there more recently then me and PM them to get more current info.

Good luck

Hi Daniel

I flew from Kabul to Dubai RTN last December and had no problems whatsoever(apart from a bullshit airport tax fiasco at Kabul airport)

I would contact someone in Kabul though to get something more up to date.

Also I would advise you to get someone in Kabul purchase your Kam air ticket for you if possible. I booked Kam Air online and ended up having to fly Pamir Air. Pamir air is freaky shit and would advise you not to fly with them.
