I'll be moving to China for the next year or two, and likely to be dividing my time between U.S. and China, so I was wondering what the best way is to set up so calls to my cellphone/mobile in the States can be forward to a number that I'll have in China. I am debating rather or not it is wise to maintain a phone number in the States if I'll be gone for so long. Any thoughts? Such as if that is a business wise decision.... The phone number costs 16 dollars for 3 months, or something like that. You can set up the forwarding to go to multiple phone numbers. No need to have your skype account or computer on for the forwarding to happen, either. This last time, my contract was finally up, and so i switched my number over to sprint, who has a deal where you can pay $5 a month to keep your number for sixth month periods, without actually using the phone... This way I dont lose my US business line for if i want to go home... And now, I just have a local number here in mex, and thinking i may do the skype thing to forward to my cell here... Anyways... not sure if this was the best way to do it, as I didnt have the foresight to ask on here, like you have... And, if you are not going to be back in the states within 6 months, then it wont work for you. I am thinking to re-hook it up when im in the states on biz, then disconnect again when i leave back to here... but, we'll see how it works, as the cell company fascists may have other ideas.
