Travel to Nepal

I'm heading to Nepal towards the end of October. Any advice on cheapest routes/days to fly from East Coast US? Likely, PHL or JFK...

Take the Air India / Etihad / Virgin flight from NY to New Delhi, India....the return ticket works out approximately $1100 USD. INCLUDING TAX

From New Delhi, take a flight to Kathmandu.....the return ticket for the same costs you $300 USD. (Incl tax)

The other way is to fly to Hong Kong / Kualalumpur / Bangkok and take a flight from there...

Best fare I found is Etihad from JFK to KMT with stop in Abu Dhabi. Coming home brings me Kat air to Delhi, the Etihad to JFK with a change in abu dhabi. Total fare $2,000 incl. taxes and paper ticket. I'm sure the peak season has driven the prices way up.

Hi Cheryl, last time I checked, the lowest fare To and fro from New Delhi to Kathmandu is $330 USD.

Go to www.jetairways.com which is one of India's finest airlines...But you gotta book in advance...

If you have have found the Ethihad flight which makes your booking till Kathmandu, then good and no hassles but if you feel a little adventurous and by little DIY stuff, you can save around $600 USD :)
