Cheap printer repair?

Does anybody know a place to get a printer repaired cheaply (in NY)? It's an old Epson 1270 - so don't want to spend a fortune...

What's wrong with it? I've got the 870 and I love it. No need to upgrade. I use it heavilly and always have done. I took the print head apart once to give it a serious clean and put it back together. I had nothing to loose as I thought it was on its last legs and I couldn't afford a new one. Still can't. Anyways, I continue to soak up all the excess ink using q-tips. I always have a flash light close by to see what I'm doing. Invariably I get covered in ink but it's still working beautifully. I think cleaning up the excess ink is key. No clog causing friction that way.
Get out your flash light and start cleaning up the mess inside and run several nossel checks and you might be sorted. Don't take the ink head apart like I did. T'was a nightmare. Go to the Epson web site and see what they advise.
Good luck.

It doesn't recognize the color cartridge anymore. I've tried cleaning the sensors and changing the cartridge with another one that I knew worked, but to no avail.
