“Art into Life/Life into Artâ€* invites contemporary artists to consider the reaction of artists in the 1960s to the modernist credo of “art for art’s sake.â€* Many of these artists responded by opening their eyes to broader notions of art and found treasures in everyday life. Some literally incorporated found objects from everyday life, while others created art works that were inspired by life experiences. This exhibition seeks art works that forge new connections between art and life in the 21st century.
