Fellowships will be awarded in two categories: 1. Distress Seasonal Migration 2. Child Malnutrition OR Maternal Health The fellowships is for photojournalists and freelance photographers. The fellowships lasts over the period of 1 year and is worth Rs.1 lakh. The fellow is expected to publish 8 photographs on the topic in the media. Also NFI organises an exhibition of the fellows work at the end of the fellowship at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi. The fellowship is open to photographers across India. Photographers who have received an NFI fellowship before are welcome to reapply.
