Narrative looks to support the cultural exchange and global citizenship made possible by a literate representation of lives and circumstance that goes beyond daily headlines.</p> <p>Our contents include the works of the pre-eminent fiction writers and poets of the day as well as works by important emerging authors. In addition, we publish works by first-rank and emerging cartoonists, graphic artists, and photographers. To date, our non-fiction has focused largely on book-related and literary topics, though we have also presented essays and reporting on religion, child soldiers in Columbia, the effect of war on soldier’s partners at home, personal questions of identity in relation to the history of slavery, and the effect of the war in Iraq on both the Americans and Iraqis engaged there.
