Have photos for the National 9/11 Memorial Museum?

Hello - I work for a studio (localprojects.net) that is helping design the National 9/11 Memorial Museum at ground zero. We're looking for images of 9/11 and its impact around the world.

I know many people on this site may have been in NYC on 9/11. We're interested in images both of what happened on 9/11, and what happened after: from vigils, to recovery, to protests, to the wars.

You can submit images, video, and stories online at http://makehistory.national911memorial.org (go to "add your story").

Or, if you don't want to use the site, please just get a hold of me at ian@localprojects.net. The site has a pretty clear TOS (in the uploader) but to summarize: you retain all rights to your images and grant the museum a usage right.

Thanks and please let me know if you have any questions.

Ian:

A photo essay that I helped conceptualize, develop and edit will be soon published (tomorrow on the anniversary). I have also written an accompanying text. The essay and text may be of interest to you and to the families of the survivors. If you wish, I'd love for you to have a look.

The work will be published tomorrow, on the anniversary

I'll post the link to the essay/text and to the magazine tomorrow upon publication...

cheers.

You might be interested in this Ian. Its a piece on the way that New Yorkers dealt with their grief in the wake of 9.11......looking back on it, there are a lot if things that I might have done differently, but it also brings back a some of the feelings on that "Indian Summer."
