We thought this was important in current challenging business climate to have a place where photographers can go to get help and share information regarding contracts, copyright, and licensing images. We chose Facebook because lot of photographers are on there already, young, new and established. And we wanted specifically a platform just for this (not other stuff). Face it , Facebook has become our rolodex. FB Group feature works well for this. The site has gone viral, and has 1400 member in two days. We want people to bookmark the group, use it and contribute to it. Facebook seems fastest way to do it and there's already captive audience of photographers there too. We are up to 2,000 already in 4 days. I think it's a good platform. Maybe Lightstalkers wants to start something more permanent with searchable topics, dedicate a specific but prominently displayed area for the topic of business of photography? And link it to FB TPC(The Photojournalists Cooperative) page?
