I do not see my profile picture nor any of the gallery images I have uploaded. Since I see Flickr images of mine, it must be something to do with the interface between the image loading. This is not a good time to contact the support. After Monday, someone needs to contact a real person in the US. All the persons who complained so far are in Europe. What about the people in the US? My problem is the systematic absence from the guys who run the site, the avoidance of involvement, when members of this "family" start threads regarding technical problems that occur all the time. You talk about money and I say that if someone had made an announcement like: "finally in order to preserve the services of this site we need money", then that could be a possible decisive solution either way, if this money gathered or not. But I never saw such an announcement, none. I understand what you say, although I really cannot realize what this "free service" that you mentioned is all about anymore. It's only open to professional photographers or photography students and we do check people out to make sure they are what they say they are.
