For the last 5 years, I've dabbled a little on my own designing objects. My most recent one is a bottle opener that engages and removes the cap as you grab the bottle. It's not the only one-handed bottle opener, but I believe it is the first to work like this with a single, simple motion. Naturally, one is in getting the word out, so I can gauge how viable this will be to pursue long-term...Since I've only met one photographer in 20 years who was never inclined to open a bottle, I figure lightstalkers is as good a place as any to ask. The other part comes from the idea that every creative pursuit that you take on can enhance the other things you do.
