Within this time I spent a couple of months in some remote communities, in South Kalimantan, Seram-Maluku and South Papua, focused on their life style. I relied on my Indonesian friends and on locals to find some of those isolated communities which are not yet so altered by missionaries, government and business-mans.I never used a touristic agencies or guide, and anyway I doubt that an agencies could help some way. I tried to find information about such places through some Indonesian universities, but proofed to be not very useful, so the network of relationships with the locals helped me.
