Fotovision: Long-term Documentaries and Books

Move your long-term project to the next level, whether you are starting a new one or have a work-in-progress that needs some attention. The five meetings are spread out over ten weeks so the evolution of your project will be the focus of the class. This is a hands-on class that will cover the process from execution to completion. The instructor, Lonny Shavelson, will share his own latest book project and that production process to help you learn how your own publication process might be. You will be working on:

- refining your idea and vision
- gaining entry to the story and community or subject
- focusing the theme and story line
- deciding on a publication format (magazine, book, exhibit, etc)
- actual design and distribution of your work

Be ready for some great participatory learning. This class will be small enough for your particular needs to get attention within the group. Students will have the opportunity to design a book - details to come!

NOTE: Fotovision is offering an Early Bird Sign-up fee of $325 until March 10th. On March 11th, the fee for this class will be our regular rate of $375. Sign up online at Fotovision.org or call 415.725.1636
