http://www.lightstalkers.org/posts/which-wacom-tablet An entire Lightstalkers thread via RSS/XML. en-us I have been looking into getting a wacom tablet, but all the reviews i have read have confusing advice- because they are used by illustrators and photographers, who have different needs... so, i was wondering, anyone have advice about size (in this case, i think size does matter?) and model? the intuous vs. the graphire. right now, i'm leaning towards the graphire4 4x5 size to do pretty basic retouching work. thanks in advance for any information you might be able to offer! Size is a personal decision I got the 6x11 as its wide format. Sometimes it feels a little big but it does provide a good amount of control, and when I upgrade to the 30" I'm sure it will feel even better. The eye/hand seem to adapt to the size. I don't see any need to change in the near future. If it helps I also teach PhotoShop at a local college and I purchased 8 of the tablets for them, the students get on well with them. I don not like the graphire and am going to get the inutios again. I would not like to be with out one and there is a new world that opens up in changing from mouse to pen, specially with PS. I feel that the smaller ones are grate as you can take them with you any where. The bigger are more for those that are used to draw and paint.
