magazine picture requests

I noticed that teru generously posted a request from national geographic adventure mag for images of aid workers in action. I think passing around such requests is an excellent use for Lightstalkers. Lets all do the same when we know of a request put out there by a magazine picture researcher or photo editor. If there are any editors on this list, please psot your requests here if you see fit and ask your colleagues to do so too.

From our side, lets try to respond to such requests only with material that is relevant to the mag's needs and of high quality. That way Lightstalkers may be increasingly viewed by picture researchers as a resource, and a few buckaroos can flow to one or another Lightstalker . After all, it aint nothin' but the rent, as they say.

Cheers, Stephen

Hey Stephen, right on. We definitely want Lightstalkers to be useful for photo editors, researchers, et al. When you talk to researchers or editors, make sure to point out the Member Directory -- it's designed specifically to facilitate finding, say, photographers in Columbia.

Also encourage colleagues in your area to sign up -- more photographers will attract more editors, which ultimately will work to your benefit...
