david, doing a search for ipod brought up the above thread. it's been a while since i looked at that thread. but i remember some discussion of the photo connector. hope that helps. i've used the belkin card reader, and would advise against it. i think it's probably a great option for family holiday snaps with consumer digicams and 256mb cards max. i don't think it was designed with pro file sizes in mind. that said, i find the ipod makes a great portable external hard drive...  </description>
