Photoshop effect actions

So I have these photoshop effect actions for digi files (velvia, x-process, tri-x simulators etc.) but I don't know how to use them. What are the steps? Where do I drop the action plug ins? How do I make it work? Help...

Thanks to any one with the tech know-how.

what you need to know is you need to chose from the file menu Window->Actions and when the actions palette comes up on the right hand side should be an arrow that opens choices for that palette.

Chose Load Actions, then you navigate through to where those actions are. . .they will now be available inside the Actions Palette.

The basic way to use them is that when you have an image open in photoshop you select the action you want out of the list and press the play button on the bottom of the palette window.

That should get you started. Good luck.

Fernando, thanks for getting back to me so soon.
I followed your steps but when I went to hit the play button at the bottom of the actions pallet it would not let me. It gave me the circle with a line through it ala Ghostbusters.

Eros,

Make sure that you have one of the actions selected and not an action set (folder)
