The opening night party, from 5:00 to 8:00, features a performance by Tibetan Folk singer Tenzin Kunsel and a talk by Rinchen Dharlo, president of the Tibet Fund. Acclaimed photographers Steve McCurry, Teru Kuwayama, Sonam Zoksang, Jesse Pesta and Jennifer Macfarlane are exhibiting images from Tibet, Nepal and India reflecting the cultural, religious and national identity of the Tibetan people from September 16th through September 26th. In support of the Tibetan community, these photographers aim to raise awareness and money for The Tibet Fund, a 501 3(c) non-profit organization dedicated to helping Tibetans improve their lives and preserve their distinct cultural, religious and national identity.
