Re: Doubletake

heya stephanie, I just asked a friend who was working at Duke Center for Doc Studies...even she wasn't sure if Doubletake is still up and running....their website is kind of vague, but says they might be starting up again around now.

this is on the main page of their website (www.doubletakemagazine.org)

Dear Friends,
DoubleTake magazine is currently on publishing break. We will resume publishing in 2004, re-launching the magazine as a bi-monthly. We are using the next few months to restructure our nonprofit educational programs and launch a major fundraising campaign to create an endowment for the DoubleTake Community Service Corporation.

We will not be accepting any unsolicited submissions until August 2004. Please check back periodically, however, for updates.

To those of you worried about rumors of DoubleTake's demise, we assure you that DoubleTake will not perish as long as there are people like you dedicated to the mission of experiencing the wonders of everyday life through documentary writing and photography. You'll see us back on the newsstands and in mailboxes very soon.

If you wish to make a tax-deductible contribution to the nonprofit DoubleTake Community Service Corporation, please write or email us at:

DoubleTake

In the meantime, thank you for your continued support of the documentary and literary vision DoubleTake magazine has offered since 1995.
