I use fixers all the time, just got back from India and had a really good one – it depends on what you need. Let me know if you are still looking I can give you his contact.
Sandra Lourenco is the best producer/fixer I have ever worked with – She is a brazilian woman based in Sao Paulo (but has lived/traveled and worked all over Brazil). She produced a a doc with me – can work with any budget and work in any kind of situation. The director of the Sundance winning doc. ‘Manda Bala’ was struggling to get a crucial interview with a kidnapper – sandra was able to get it in a week…

I´ll second Kate. If you need a Brazilian fixer, you´ll hardly find anyone
better than Sandra.
I met her when I worked at ICP, a few years back, not only is she an
excellent photographer/producer, but also a hard worker, and to top it all,
she is an extremely nice person.
