Fixers in Jakarta
|
Hello everybody,
I am doing an assignment in Jakarta, Indonesia from about mid-December to mid-January, working on a story about urban poverty there. Never been before – so I wanted to cast my net out to see if anyone had any good leads for a good fixer/translator in the area.
Best wishes,
Jonas

Try Jihan Labetubun, jihantv@hotmail.com, or jihan01@yahoo.com. She’s experienced and well connected. If you’re doing a story on urban poverty, once on the ground I’d suggest contacting Wardah Hafidz, who is the head of the Urban Poor Consortium in Jakarta. She’d be a good source on the topic, and is a fluent English speaker. Good luck, and have fun. (Cinnabar, next to the Deutsche Bank building, might be a good hangout place. It’s popular with the foreign press crew)

Hi Jonas,
I think I can help you since I know some photographers in Jakarta, and I had made about urban poverty story. I covered the life of people who live in the side of railway in Jakarta. Please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you.
