Flash Book Advice?
|
I want to make Flash audio slideshows. I’ve got the Mindy McAdams book “Flash Journalism”, which was a great starter to get me going with Flash, but it didn’t get me all the way to a slide show that a) has smooth faded transitions which b) synchronize to an audio file, c) loads seamlessly for the user, and d) is easy to update with new material (her book covered each of those aspects, but never in a way that they were all put together in one project). Does anyone have recommendations for a follow-up book (or website) on Flash and Actionscripting?
Thanks,
Rob

Holy crap, I could have saved the $50 I spent on that book and the weekend I spent reading it if I had known about Soundslides.com! That’s precisely what I was trying to make from scratch.

You might want to look into showitweb as well. Great piece of software, runs fast and clean and creates shows that look like you spent a ton of time on them.

Good luck
