Folha de S.Paulo
The most influential newspaper in Brazil – The FOLHA is based in São Paulo, Brazil. Founded in 1921, it became the country’s best-selling newspaper in the 80’s (last year, the average circulation was 287,000 on weekdays and 360,000 on Sundays). The growth was supported by the editorial principles of the Folha Project: pluralism, non-partisanship, critical journalism and independence. Organized in topical daily sections and supplements, it circulates domestically. It was the first media in Brazil to employ an ombudsman and to provide its readers with on-line content.
