FOVEA’s 26th exhibition features the work of 24 international photojournalists and art photographers as they cast their lens over the causes, effect, and solutions to the global environmental crisis, entitled ‘One Earth’.

Representing institutions as diverse as National Geographic, Appalachia Watch and Greenpeace, these visual journalists present images of a variety of topical subjects including fracking, mountaintop mining removal, the Tar Sands, refugees of global warming, desertification, acidification of the oceans, extreme weather, alternative energy sources, solar and wind projects, urban farming and home energy audits.

Fovea is celebrating its fifth year of programing in 2012, and is a volunteer-run non profit whose mission is to educate through the works of photojournalism. Leading photojournalists and industry experts present first-person accounts on the topics they have covered to the Hudson Valley community through Fovea’s public talks and student outreach programs, organized in conjunction with the topics presented in exhibitions.
