My friend Mel Rosenthal ‘s exhibition,THE ARAB AMERICANS: AMERICANS BY CHOICE, will open at the MAY GALLERY at Webster University in St. Louis Missouri. The opening will be March 1. 2008 and it will close March 29th.The exhibition will consist of 45 photographs with texts as part of an on going project about the lives of Arab Americans in New York State, Pennsylvania, and New Mexixo.The May Gallery is located on the second floor, west wing, of the Sverdrup Building at 8300 Big Bend Boulevard, Webster Groves MO 63119. Mel has been a mentor to me and many others,a kind and very talented man and a wonderful teacher. His book “In The South Bronx of America” is one of the best pj books of the last 20 years and these images in this current showing are relevant and touching.If you’re in the area, don’t miss it.
