G9 and multiple flashes
I was going to ask the same question about the M8.

Do not know the g9 but: Does i have a flash-shoe or pc-connector and manual adjustments – it will work!

I have one and it will work with Pocket Wizards. It will also sync at high speeds although just how high depends on your flash and the aperture chosen. The problem for me is the camera’s screen brightness. Imagine you want to use it for moody daylight flash shots, the sky perhaps two or three stops below the flash lit foreground. You set up your camera, ask your subject (if you are talking) to stand up against the sky background… and then see that the camera has adjusted screen brightness for the (bright) background and you can’t see your (now silhouetted) subject anymore. Same if you are in an office and want to make a flash-lit picture of someone standing with a window behind them: the camera will darken the lcd and your subject will be a black against the background which makes composition (and sometimes focusing)pretty tough. Conclusion: you have to use it in flat light if you want to see what you are photographing. Also, if you like working in manual mode because you can see the effects of your exposure settings in real time on the lcd (which I do – it’s one of the nicer features of digital compacts) you will be disappointed to find that the camera detects the presence of the Pocket Wizard in the hotshoe and sets the lcd to maximum brightness (ie you no longer see the effects of your manual settings.
