About
Ehrin Macksey is a self-taught freelance photographer, videographer and multimedia producer based in Hanoi, Vietnam. He was born in the Netherlands to a Dutch mother and an American father. As a teen, his mother took him to the Middle East and Europe and opened his eyes to the world. After graduating from the University of Florida he set out to discover more. Ehrin lived and worked in New Zealand for a year and then traveled trough Asia and eventually decided to live there. Considered a man of many hats, he has worked on numerous projects including an award winning Vietnamese documentary film about abortion, a producer and videographer for a number of National TV shows in Vietnam and a multimedia designer for On The Road Media and The Raw File. He has been recognized by the National Press Photography Association (http://www.nppa.org/competitions/monthly_multimedia_contest/winnergalleries.php?year=2008&month=3&entry=63&place=2) recently for his work on a multimedia story about a homeless Buddhist mother and child living on the streets of Hanoi, Vietnam. He recently has been selected to show his work at the international Angkor Wat photography festival (http://photographyforchange.net/participants.html) in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
