Fundacion del bienestar de desarrollo y crecimiento, luz y esperanza

Pedernales, is a province in the southwest of the Dominican Republic and reaches the border of Haiti. Many poverty-stricken families live in and on the outskirts of Pedernales. The Fundacion del Bienestar de Desarollo y Crecimento, Luz y Esperanza has taken a census of children in the area that need medical assistance, operations and other medical needs such as: prosthetics,walkers and crutches.

Liz Borda was born and raised in New York. She was born in Inwood, Manhattan and later moved to Flushing, Queens. Liz graduated from CUNY’s Hunter College with a double major in Media Studies and Art Studio. She works as a freelancer for local media and as an assistant photographer. She is currently a graduate photojournalism student at Ohio University.
