Writer, editor, evolutionary biologist. I started taking photos in 2006 and quickly got pretty serious about it, but it isn’t (obviously) my career.

When I first started taking photos I concentrated on learning how to use the two cameras my father left behind, a Leica M3 and a Rolleiflex 2.8F. Now that I feel like I kind of know how to use these things, and have even branched out to other cameras (including ones that take batteries) I am more interested in learning about photography as opposed to using cameras. A site full of professional photographers seems like a good place to do some of that, so I hope you don’t mind that I’m here.
