Hunters Point

I am a 21-year-old Photojournalism major at San Francisco State University inspired by images of social documentary and conflict photography. I am pursuing a minor in both History and Middle Eastern Studies and hope to graduate in Fall 08’. Currently, I have begun working on several documentary projects in San Francisco, one in the Tenderloin and one in the Bayview District, covering a wide range of issues from homelessness and drug abuse to gentrification and African American empowerment. I am working hard to refine my approach to the stories I am covering, and strive to make each image better than the last.

In the future I hope to work abroad and cover conflict and social injustice.
I love the creative atmosphere my friends at San Francisco State have created and are continually creating, and as we develop our journalistic voices, I hope all of our images and articles will have a positive impact on our future generation, one story at a time.
