Rony Zakaria is a freelance photojournalist based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Zakaria started his career in photography after finished his study at Galeri Foto Jurnalistik Antara in Jakarta. Since then, he has covered various issues in Indonesia and South East Asia region. His work has been exhibited and featured in photo festivals and exhibitions held in Indonesia and abroad.

Achievements:
2010 – 2nd Place in NPPA Best Of Photojournalism Non-Traditional Publishing Category (USA)
2010 – First Prize Photo Stories in Tempo Best of Photojournalism Year 2009
2009 – Mochtar Lubis Award Grant for Investigative Reporting
2009 – Konrad Adeneur & Asian Center for Journalism Fellowship
2008 – United Nation FAO Grant to document Avian culture in Indonesia
