Jimmy A. Domingo is a freelance photographer since 1985. He contributes news photos to numerous publications and wire photo agencies. He has done editorial and documentary assignments in the Philippines, Malaysia, China, Thailand and Vietnam for several local and international development agencies. His works have been included in various exhibitions and book projects.
Domingo is the photo editor (on leave) of the Philippine News Network and the Philippine evening daily Remate Tonight.
As one of the founding members of the Philippine Center for Photojournalism, he was the president in 2004-2006 and is currently a board member. He spearheaded professional workshops and photography competitions. He co-directed the 2006 Asia-Europe Young Photographers Forum in Manila, a project of the Asia-Europe Foundation and World Press Photo
He is a member of the South East Asia Nominating Committee of the World Press Photo Joop Swart Masterclass and was a jury member of the 6th China International Press Photo Contest.
Domingo is a visiting lecturer in the Communications Department of the Ateneo de Manila University and in the Photojournalism Program of the Konrad Adenauer Asian Center for Journalism at the Ateneo de Manila University (ACFJ), which he also coordinated from January 2007 to May 2009 and June 2010 up to the present.
He also teaches photography courses at the De La Salle University in Manila.
He was one of the online tutors (and joined the live workshop in Nigeria in October 2009) of the Road to 2010, a training program for African photojournalists organized by the World Press Photo and African Media Online.Jimmy A. Domingo 's current location:
