About

I spent my teen years in New York City taking photographs.

I went on to study photography at the San Francisco Art Institute and then had a professional photography business in California. My clients included Mondavi Wines, VISA and San Francisco Magazine.

Since 1980 I have been in advertising in the US and Europe and while I have worked with many great photographers, I have only recently rekindled my interest in creating serious photography.

I am now combining my years of studying people and trends to create a series of social commentary based photographs. The series cover the inner lives of teenagers (2007-2008), Chinese park visitors in Shanghai (2007) and a new series on performers. The first group is rodeo cowboys. For the rodeo work, I have pulled my old Widelux out of the case and am shooting B&W film again. As I move forward, this series will include backstage work with bodybuilders, actors and Muy Thai boxers in Thailand.
